Doodles and Dialogue is an online, interactive drawing class for kids 10 - 18, where students create their own characters, and work together to draw their way through a designed world to complete the quest.
The class is run by animator, illustrator, and art teacher, Lee Angerstein.
How it works.
Each student draws their own character, and gives them attributes and abilities.
The teacher, then guides the students through a preplanned campaign, where students work together, and draw solutions to situations they come across, sharing their artworks along the way.
Each campaign runs for 1 hour each week for 4 weeks, and new sessions are added often.
What you need.
An internet connection, pencils, paper, and some imagination. All skill levels of drawing are welcome. (You'll even learn some drawing tricks.) Situations will sometimes be determined through digital dice rolls so no need for dice, (unless you'd really like to have your own.)
The campaign will be played live together through Google Meet and you will receive information and a link to the virtual room once signed up for the class.
What’s the benefit.
Not only is Doodles and Dialogue a fun game, it's also an exercise in creativity, art, and problem solving. Students will learn how to work together to overcome situations by thinking outside the box and adapting to events that constantly occur and change over the campaign depending on their choices.
It's a great way to work the mind and reinforce self expression, creativity, while also being a great way to socialize and make friends!

About the Creator
Lee Angerstein is a professional illustrator and animator who creates cartoons, and teaches art classes to kids. His studio is based in Collingswood, NJ, but he is currently teaching art lessons online.
He is currently working on the next episode of his cartoon series, Chup and Lyle, along with various client projects.
